REGIONAL CLOTHES

We live in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie but our closest neighbouring region is Silesia (Śląsk) and strangers very often mix the names of these two areas or even think that we belong to Silesia. That’s why we are presenting regional clothes both from Zagłębie and from Silesia. Enjoy!

XIII Small Theatres Competition

XIII final of Small Theatres Competition took place in the Theatre of Zagłębie Children in Będzin.
Drama education is an important element in curriculum of schools and the competition organized every year for 13 years is evidence for the popularity of this educational form.
18 theater teams from Będzin’s kindergartens and primary schools took part in eliminations. 311 small actors performed their roles, being prepared for this challenging task by 35 teachers.
We are very proud that our primary school won Ist reward and we were praised by the President of the Municipality Mr Radosław Baran.

Charity

Our students volunteered in goods packaging beside checkpoints in Suchan. During 4 hours of hard work 52 students collected 3501,70 zlotys for the medical eguipment for 14-years old diabetic friend from Sosnowiec.

Trip to Wadowice and Oświęcim

All of our III classes went to Wadowice, a place of birth of John Paul II, and to a complex of concentration camps Oświęcim-Brzezinka. Terrifying photos, genuine exponats and the atmosphere of this place still remind us of the fact that millions of people died here.

Trip to Zakopane

In May we usually travel a lot. Classes VIa and VIb went to the beautiful Tatras and walked through picturesque mountain routes. We visited the famous lake “Sea Eye” (Morskie Oko) and listen to our guide talking about the Tatras nature, peaks and legends. We climbed Gubałówka peak, visited a pretty wooden church in Jaszczurówka (Lizard’s place) and mountain valleys. We could not do without going shopping along Krupówki Street.
And although we were tired, we did not want to go back because we were so fascinated with the Tatras and its capitol Zakopane.

The Day of Children

On 1st June in our school we celebrated the Day of Children. Our students conducted many quizes and competitions, among others:
- funny sport competitions
- quiz about Polish history
- quiz about the knowledge of our school
- competitions for the best paper plane
- fine arts competitions
