Nowadays, at school, children and adults prepare the arrival of Christmas Season!
They rehearse the show they will present at Christmas school party, on Thursday morning.
Their last school day in this year will be on Friday.
They are excited and happy with the antecipation of the gifts they will receive in this season!
At the same time they fix christmas cards to send to the partner schools as well as they share and collect gifts (books, clothes, didactic material, games, toys, etc. )which they will send to our friends from a school in Guiné Bissau - África.
These activities belong to our project Nós com Africa "Knots with Africa". Our blog: http://noscomafrica.blogspot.com/
It´s a good time for talk in classroom about ethical and moral values like solidarity, peace, share, harmony, FRIENDSHIP ...

ReplyDeleteHello, Everyone,
ReplyDeleteI hope all you are fine.
I saw the attached blog, I impressed it.
I'd like to say something about Christmas..
According to our religion (Islam), prophet Jesus is the one of the five biggest prophet in the world history. They're;
Muhammed, Jesus, Moses, Noah and Abraham
We believe all of prophets, they're messenger from God, we believe all of their thoughts and sentiments..
Jesus has an important place in Islam thought. We love Jesus and his mother Virgin Mary. As you know, Virgin Mary's house is in the Efes, Turkey. We called her as "Meryem Ana", "Mother Mary".
Many many Turkish tourist go to the Mary's house. They pray to God, they realize importance of the purity, innocence and chastity.
I'd gone there many times by motorcycle and car. My family lived near to Efes, approximately 50 kilometers.
Finaly, all we are love Jesus and his apostles without no hesitation. I suppose we've to break some prejudices by affective activities, as this project.
All you are have many greetings from us,
Merry Christmas
Celal / Turkey
Thanks for this interesting information.
ReplyDeleteEfes is a place which has to do with my own childhood when i was a learning the principles of catholic religion
I agree with you. We should break some prejudices in our life and our students.
Merry Cristmas

In addition to Celal's thoughts,I want to say something about Christmas in Turkey. In fact Turkish people don't celebrate it but we celebrate coming of the NEW YEAR on the 31st December. In that night some families prefer to stay at home. They invite their friends to have a new year dinner that has been prepared in the morning (especially, chicken or turkey and also another delicious foods). They have fun alltogether watching Tv(because The channels present special programmes),dancing, playing family games, especially TOMBALA .It resembles BINGO.Some people prefer to go out at that night to celebrate the New Year. They go restaurants or nightclubs which present different kinds of entertaining alternatives. But some people never make a celebration becouse of our religious thoughts. We like to give presents to eachother on that day.We buy lottary ticket . Eveybody wish a happy New Year eachother and send nice New Year messages. So this is our tradition.
ReplyDeleteMerry christmas
